Which piano app is best? A 5-point checklist, and how TIGA ALPHA compares with Simply Piano and flowkey
Want to learn piano at home but overwhelmed by apps? The short answer: pick the app that explains things in a language you think in, tells you exactly where you slipped, and has songs you actually want to play. Here is a five-point checklist, and an honest look at how TIGA ALPHA answers each point.
1. Does it teach in a language you understand?
Many beginners quit because the music terms are hard to follow. TIGA ALPHA teaches in three languages: Thai, English and Mandarin. The AI teacher answers in the language you type.
2. Does anyone tell you where you went wrong?
Watching a video and copying it is not enough. In TIGA ALPHA's practice mode the app listens to your piano through the microphone (or takes input from a MIDI keyboard), shows which notes you missed, and lets you drill just those. The AI Daily Mentor then tells you what to practise next, based on your real practice data.
3. Are there songs you want to play?
Motivation is the biggest factor in learning piano, and that means playing music you love. TIGA ALPHA has more than 10,000 songs, from children's songs and folk tunes to classical pieces, plus Play Along, where notes fall to the beat like a game and every song earns stars.
4. Does it train your ear and reading too?
Playing is only part of it. The app includes ear training, note reading and a learning pathway that goes from scales and intervals to chords and advanced harmony, so you always know what to learn next.
5. Is the price friendly to a beginner?
Everyone gets 7 days of Premium free, then 799 THB a month. You can try the full system before deciding.
